Welcome to Seoul Copyright Forum 2024
While generative AI is sure to become a useful tool for humanity, it is also highly likely that it contains the fruits of creators' efforts.
At the 'Seoul Copyright Forum 2023', the current state of generative AI technology as creative tools , related copyright issues, and legal challenges were deeply discussed. Policy efforts made by Korea and other major countries were also examined.
Throughout this process, we were able to confirm that finding a balance among various stakeholders was the major challenge
in this time and age.
At the Seoul Copyright Forum 2024: Generative AI and Copyright, Striking a New Balance,
the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Copyright Commission will aim to explore
the direction of our copyright policy together with you.
We seek to gather insights from diverse experiences and perspectives of the academia, industries, governments, and other stakeholders,
to find the fine balance between creativity and innovation within the evolving copyright environment.
